Return to sender, address unknown! No such number, no such zone!

(The title is in reference to a song, which is quite old, so I wouldn't be surprised if no one knew it, although it is Elvis, so if you don't know it, you should be ashamed!)

So, we moved! We got a new place, and are planning to be here for about 6 months. If our prayers are answered, when our lease is up, Justin will have a job offer, and we'll be moving on to bigger and better things! *fingers crossed, rabbits foot in pocket, salt over the shoulder....whatever else*

At the beginning of February, we started looking to see if there were any available apartments nearby. Oddly enough, one right close to home did! So we went and looked at it, and thought it was quite perfect for the two of us. That night, we applied and the next day, we were approved. I was SO excited. So we talked about it, and figured that things wouldn't fall into place so well if it wasn't meant to be. So we signed some papers, and got things in motion!

We got internet, power, ... and other stuff that I can't think of right now, and viola! Here we are! We moved in last Thursday, and are slowly unpacking everything. Which speaking of, WHERE did we get all this stuff?! I swear, our things got together and multiplied and replenished, because WOW. I didn't realize we would have so many bins and boxes. The bins actually turned out to be nice because now we can store things in my parents barn without fear of mice getting in them. shudder

Talking about the barn made me think of my parents chickens. Yes, they have chickens. Once upon a time, I would NOT have eaten a chicken egg from a chicken that I know. Much like how I didn't want to eat meat from a cow that lived next door, but that's beside the point. My parents were adamant that they would get chickens, and never have to buy eggs again. So they did. And guess what? They were the cutest little chickens, ever!

And I now have to admit that I eat their eggs. It took a few months for them to get big enough (now they're so big, they're almost scary) but now my parents get 4-5 eggs a day. So needless to say, our whole family will probably never buy eggs again. What's next? A cow? Ugh, no thank you. I'll continue to buy my milk, thanks.

Back to moving though... I pulled all my Magic Attic dolls out, and my one American Girl doll, and then the other dolls that my parents got for me... it brought back a lot of fun memories. Along with the dolls, I had my beanie babies. Hahaha that was a funny phase of life. Either way, I have a garbage bag full of them, and it got me thinking. I'm SO excited to have kids. I want my girls to play with my dolls, and my barbies, my barbie house, and I want to see them love the things that I loved when I was little. I don't have much to pass on to boys... but that's okay. I've got a few random things they might appreciate. One thing that I am so grateful for is parents that showed me how to laugh, how to have fun, and how to love. They are such an amazing example to me. I've never met a more happy couple, and I really hope that my kids think the same thing about Justin and I. I hope that we have the kind of marriage that our kids strive for. That's one thing that we continually work for and pray for, but I feel like we're doing something right, because I've never been happier!

Stupid People

I am continually amazed at humanity. In all different ways. Like these ladies. Really?! And then you have this lady, and don't even get me started on this guy. But then you also have people that do good things. Like these guys, and places that do fun things like this.

But I'm not talking about those people.

I'm talking about the guy I just talked to on the phone. The one that insulted me, belittled me, and treated me like I was crap. To you sir, I dedicate this post.

In my opinion, you are one of the worst people out there. Along with killers, rapers, and molesters. Why? Because you're a self-entitled prick who feels the need to belittle everyone around you in order to feel better about yourself. Not only do you belittle them, but you insult them to 'knock them down a few more pegs' even though in your mind, no one is even close to where you stand on the ladder of life.

I once encountered someone like you at my first job. In a flower store. That was the first and last time I ever cried at my job. He was a winner too. Yelling at a 16 year old girl because he didn't order in time. Cool!

While you're sitting on your yacht in Singapore (which I do know where that is, thanks for asking) I hope that you're thinking about all the lovely things that you have. Like houses all over the world. Which are all so large, and all filled with neat things. I'm sure you have more money than I could ever dream of making in a lifetime.

But I feel like the key difference between us is this : I am happy. I live in a basement apartment, I make barely enough to get us by each month, I'm putting my husband through school, I eat a lot of Ramen noodles, I work a full time job that isn't always sunshine and rainbows, and I don't get everything I want. But. I. Am. Happy. I don't put myself above anyone else, and I would NEVER treat someone the way you just treated me.

So my good sir, I hope you're happy with your life and the choices that you've made, and the manner in which you choose to act. Because frankly, I'm embarrassed for you.

My bad

So my last post was a little on the cryptic side, but no. I'm not pregnant. :(

We're actually moving! I was sooo excited because although I do love my sister and her family very much, I think it will be good for us to get into 'our own place' even though it's still an apartment. We'll hopefully be in a ward that has people in our same phase of life. Maybe we'll even make some friends... who knows. The possibilities are endless!

Again, sorry about the fake out :)

Sad Day

So you may or may not have noticed that something changed recently. I deleted my email, but had some complications. When I went to check my blog, I couldn't log on. So I had Justin add me, and suddenly: pictures are all gone!
At least the posts are still there... I'll have to go back and edit them to add the pictures, because if I ever print this business out, it'll be LAME if there aren't any pictures.

Anyway. Nothing too new is going on. At least nothing that I can openly talk about, yet. I will be singing from the rooftops as soon as I'm given the green light. I've been sooo excited, but I was sworn to secrecy, so I guess that's the best I can do.

Tracemus Day

I turned 26 this weekend. 26! I am officially on the downward slope of my 20's. Wow. Luckily, age doesn't bother me because I will probably always act like I'm 12. No big deal.

Friday night we had my party with my parents. It was nice, even though my grandma and grandpa Greenwall didn't know why we were gathered together. :(
Note: I gave Justin the COOLEST Tracemus Eve present. A chillow! It's a pillow that's always cold. Haha coolest present... get it?!
Saturday Justin and I went shopping and ate and watched Moneyball. He
Sunday we had dinner at the Larson's, then had cake and ice cream for me.

But the fun doesn't end there!

With my birthday money I bought:

Mission Impossible : 1, 2 and 3
Live Free or Die Hard (the funniest in the series)
RED (if you haven't seen this, I highly recommend it)
A new hair-do which I've been told is hinting spring/summer
Pens
A Skirt
Stuff for my hair

And I think that's all....

I feel this was a very successful birthday thus far.
